WAKANDA LEGEND BASENJI is a registered kennel recognized by the Croatian Kennel Club (HKS) and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI No. 35/18), with approval from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia (Decision No. 191/1441/24P).
To further improve the quality and enrich the genetic pool of this breed, we have imported exceptional dogs from countries like the USA, Norway, England, and others. We continuously invest in selecting the best bloodlines, following the highest breeding standards for Basenjis.
Our dogs grow up in a family environment, surrounded by love, care, and dedication from all family members. Our goal is not only to breed healthy, stable, and standard-compliant dogs but also to promote awareness of this unique breed worldwide.
Basenjis are our love, passion, and way of life.
From this carefully selected combination, we expect healthy, active, and beautiful puppies with perfect temperaments that fully meet the Basenji breed standards.
Health tests for the breed were conducted at LABOKLIN Germany, including:
- Fanconi Syndrome: Clear
- Progressive Retinal Atrophy for Basenjis: Clear
- Eyes (ECVO certificate): Clear
- Hips: AA (Excellent)
- Thyroid: Normal
- TgAA: Negative
- DNA profile: Completed
We are looking for active and responsible owners for our puppies — people who enjoy long walks, hiking, and spending time in nature, as this lifestyle perfectly suits the Basenji breed. Most importantly, we want our puppies to become loved family members, with owners who will take care of their mental and physical needs, health, and quality nutrition.
Basenjis are dogs who always want to be close to their owners. Although they can be cautious around strangers, they form incredibly strong bonds with their families. What makes them special is their equal love for all family members — they don’t choose a “favorite” but love everyone equally.
Our puppies grow up in the warmth of our home, getting used to everyday household sounds like vacuum cleaners, TVs, and other appliances from an early age. They are also familiar with car rides and well-socialized with people, other dogs, and small children — including our 5-year-old son, which further contributes to their adaptability.
Puppies can be picked up at 9 weeks old and will be:
- Examined by a breeding supervisor
- Vet-checked
- Vaccinated twice against infectious diseases
- Microchipped
- Equipped with an EU passport (vaccination booklet)
- Dewormed multiple times
- Registered with the Croatian Kennel Club (pedigree)
New owners will receive a “puppy package” that includes:
- Dog bed
- Collar and leash
- Toys
- Treats
- Blanket
- Food bowl
- One-week supply of food
We will also provide detailed instructions to help new owners through the first months of adaptation with their new family member.
Our support doesn’t end when the puppy leaves for its new home — we remain available for any questions and advice on health, nutrition, socialization, training, and behavior. All our puppies go to their new homes with a signed contract and a health guarantee because their well-being is always our top priority.
